Rev Achieves SOC 2 Type 1 Security Compliance Certification
As the world leader in speech-to-text services, Rev handles millions of minutes of data from our customers — and we take the protection of that customer data very seriously. That’s why we’re pleased to announce that we have successfully achieved our Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) Type 1 certification.
To help customers like you ensure that service providers like Rev securely manage your data, protect the interests of your organization and safeguard the privacy of your clients, SOC 2 reports are performed by independent auditors using AICPA-developed standards.
“Trust and transparency are core values here at Rev,” said Rev Founder and CEO Jason Chicola. “As the world’s foremost speech-to-text provider, keeping our customers’ data safe is one of our highest priorities. This SOC 2 certification is a demonstration to all of our customers that we’re committed to maintaining best practices that will keep their data secure.”
Rev’s SOC 2 Type 1 report verifies the existence of internal controls that Rev’s security experts have designed to meet the requirements for the security principles set forth in the Trust Services Principles and Criteria for Security. The report provides a thorough review of how Rev protects the security and availability of the systems we use to process customers’ data.
Thanks to a company-wide effort, Rev has successfully achieved compliance in the following areas:
Security: Our system is protected against unauthorized access. Rev’s access controls will prevent potential system abuse, theft or unauthorized removal of data, misuse of software, and improper alteration or disclosure of information.
Availability: Our system is available for operation and use as agreed upon in contracts with our customers.
“Our customers can be confident that we’re committed to the protection of their data, and that we’re making every effort to maintain effective controls in a changing landscape and ensure the highest level of security and compliance,” said Brian Byrne, Rev’s Head of Security.
